The people I talk to are waking up for no reason what so ever or are not able to fall asleep in the first place.
Why?
It could be hormones, especially for us women! It could be a food sensitivity. It could be stress and anxiety. It could be medication, or many other things.

SLOW DOWN! Pay attention to yourself, really listen to what your body is trying to tell you and follow what it tells you.
We have sped up our lives so much that our bodies often cannot calm down as fast as we want them to, and then we get frustrated that we cannot rest and rev up again, it is a viscous cycle. A little quiet time before bed would be a big help. Forming a routine that you preform over and over again the same every night, so that your body knows that you are getting ready to go to sleep is a useful tool. It also helps to cut out all electronics an hour or so before bed and do something really boring, like read that tax instruction workbook for fun! Eating right before bed also can be hindering your transition to dreamland as well as exercising, don't do either of these within two hours of bedtime.
I hope one of these suggestions helps you find a way to slow down and listen to your body and get some restful zzzzzzzz's. If not please feel free to schedule a free discovery session with me to find out other ways to stop your sleepless nights.
